Kaizan Rise: Our New Caregiver Skill Development Program
Since its launch earlier this year, Kaizan Rise, our caregiver skill development program, has become an exciting part of Kaizan Home Care. Caregivers appreciate the expanded training opportunities and collaboration with their managers and peers. We’re constantly evolving the program to make it even better, and here are four new features we’ve recently added:
1. Caregiver Brand Ambassadors
Our new Brand Ambassador program allows caregivers to share their unique talents and passions more broadly. Caregivers are now presenting at community partner events, participating in job fairs, and assisting with new hire orientations. For example, Inez recently led a popular talk on Baltimore’s rich history in the local community, inspiring both clients and staff with her knowledge and enthusiasm.
2. Care Skills Trainers
Experienced caregivers are now helping to train new hires, sharing their insights and skills. They meet with newly hired caregivers, assist RNs in competency training, and mentor new team members during shadow visits. This peer-to-peer training model allows seasoned caregivers to pass on invaluable knowledge and foster a supportive learning environment.
3. Bereavement Support Groups
Recognizing the emotional challenges of caregiving, we now offer bereavement support to caregivers who have lost clients. With access to a licensed grief counselor, caregivers can attend private or group support sessions for any personal or professional losses. 4. “Rise Above” Merchandise Catalog
Caregivers can now earn “Achievement Points” for meeting various milestones, which they can redeem for items from our new “Rise Above” catalog. The catalog includes cozy fall and winter gear like outerwear, backpacks, hip packs, and beanies, designed to keep caregivers organized and warm as they go above and beyond in their roles.
